Eric Tilds is an attorney, business advisor, and experienced technology executive who has spent more than 25 years helping technology companies navigate legal, operational, and cyber risk. As Co-Founder and Chief Legal Officer of Right of Boom, he brings a rare combination of legal expertise and firsthand experience building, operating, and protecting managed service businesses.

Eric developed the core of his career inside technology companies rather than in traditional private practice. He joined Netarx during its early stages and helped the self-funded startup grow into a 250-person managed service provider operating across eight states before its acquisition by Logicalis. Across the two organizations, Eric spent 20 years leading legal, employment, compliance, information security, and risk-management functions. His roles included EVP, General Counsel, Chief Risk Officer, Corporate Secretary, and head of Information Security and Compliance.

Today, Eric is the Founder and Managing Member of the Law Office of Eric Tilds, where he advises MSPs, MSSPs, and SaaS companies ranging from independent operators to organizations with more than 1,000 employees. His practice focuses on commercial contracts, employment matters, data privacy, insurance and indemnification, intellectual property, and the increasingly complex legal risks surrounding cybersecurity.

Nationally recognized as a trusted advisor to the managed services community, Eric regularly speaks on contracts, cyber insurance, incident risk, and the legal responsibilities MSPs assume on behalf of their clients. Through both his legal practice and his leadership at Right of Boom, Eric helps service providers understand not only what the law requires, but how to translate it into stronger agreements, better decisions, and more resilient businesses.
